Member General Federation of Women's Clubs

The object of this Club is the development of projects of civic, social, educational, and philanthropic interest in the community. The Club is nonsectarian and nonpartisan. Affiliated with The General Federation of Women's Clubs, International, organized 1890 and The General Federation of Women's Clubs of Connecticut organized 1887. Any woman over the age of 18 residing in the Town of Simsbury or adjacent areas can join. Contact us at: or P.O. Why Join?  We provide opportunities for service, leadership training, avenues for stimulation and growth, and awareness of public issues.  We offer a wide diversification of interests, which appeal to all women.  We share our points of view and expand our contacts.  We enlarge our circle e of friends and increase our understanding and appreciation of the world in which we live.

Meetings: General meetings with lunch and interesting programs are held on the second Tuesday of each month (September through March) at the Apple Barn, Simsbury Farms Recreational Complex.  Our April meeting is for members and invited guests only.  Our invited guests include representatives of the charitable organizations that have been selected to be recipients of our Gifts to the Community.  Our May meeting is the Installation Luncheon at an area venue.  This meeting is attended by members, the recipients of the three scholarships that are awarded, and invited guests.   

Member Responsibilities: Each member will be asked to serve on one of the monthly hospitality committees.  Every member is expected to participate in the annual Arts & Crafts Festival and actively participate in and support a standing committee.
